Judging from your emails, it has been a pretty brutal year for most microcap investors.  Its not just individual investors that are feeling the pain — the funds are taking it on the chin as well.  Both of the microcap ETFs are down double digits:

iShares Russell Microcap Index (NYSE:IWC), net assets: $202.7M

PowerShares Zacks Microcap Index ETF (Amex:PZI), net assets: $85.4M

microcap ETF

Microcap mutual funds are also hurting:

Royce Micro-Cap Trust (NYSE:RMT), net assets: $259.7M

First American Smallcap Growth Fund (FRMPX), net assets: $119.6M

Franklin Microcap Value Fund (FRMCX), net assets: $317.0M

MassMutual Premier Small Co. Opportunity Fund (DLBMX), net assets: $108.1M

Bjurman, Barry Microcap Growth Fund (BMCFX), net assets: $168.1M

Turner Micro Cap Growth Fund (TMCGX), net assets: $610.1M

Wasatch Micro Cap Value Fund (WAMVX), net assets: $122.0M

Managers Fremont Micro Cap Fund (MMCFX), net assets: $179.9M

Satuit Capital Microcap Fund (SATMX), net assets: $118.7M

Munder Micro-Cap Equity Fund (MMEAX), net assets: $121.8M
