The annual reconstitution of the Russell Microcap Index happens today, after the bell. Here are the preliminary additions and deletions:

A few studies, including one contained in James Altucher’s How to Trade Like a Hedge Fund, suggest that index deletions perform better than index additions over the short term. I have yet to see any test applying these strategies to the Russell Microcap Index though, and am reluctant to assume it will perform similarly because it is new and not widely followed.
